Postdoctoral positions in galactic dynamics

Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center in Warsaw, Poland, invites applications for two postdoctoral positions in the field of galactic dynamics. The successful applicants will collaborate with prof. Ewa Lokas on the project “Dynamics and morphology of interacting galaxies” funded by the Polish National Science Centre. Positions are available for up to two years. Funding for travel and research equipment will also be provided. The preferred starting date is October 1st, 2016. Candidates are required to have completed their PhD degree in astronomy, physics or related field before the starting date and no earlier than in 2011.


The applicants should provide a cv, a copy of the PhD diploma, a list of publications, a statement of scientific interests and plans (2 pages) and arrange for two letters of recommendation. For full consideration, the applications should be received by March 31st, 2016. The review of applications will begin soon after this date and continue until the positions are filled.
