Information on the outcome of the competitions for the post doc and research assistant positions in the “Sub-percent calibration of the extragalactic distance scale in the era of big surveys” – UniverScale project

The Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences (CAMK PAN) informs that in the competitions, announced on the  2nd February 2022 and on the 16th March 2022, for post-doc and research assistant positions within the project entitled “Sub-percent calibration of the extragalactic distance scale in the era of big surveys” – UniverScale, financed by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the grant agreement number 951549, led by prof. Grzegorz Pietrzyński as the Principal Investigator, the selection committee recommended and the CAMK PAN Scientific Council approved the employment of:

  •  Monica Taormina, Piotr Wielgórski for the research assistant positions in the field of cosmic distances and extragalactic distance scale (UniverScale Research assistant position 3);
  • Nicola J. Miller for the post doc position in the field of stellar astronomy (UniverScale Post-doc position 1);
  • Bartłomiej Zgirski for the post doc position in the field of pulsating stars and extragalactic distance scale (UniverScale Post-doc position 2).
