Competition for postdoctoral position in computational astrophysics

Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center (NCAC) of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw announces competition for a 5-6 month postdoctoral position to participate in the SONATA BIS project „Kinetic simulations of instabilities in relativistic plasma” (2015/18/E/ST9/00580) financed by the Polish National Science Centre and led by Dr Krzysztof Nalewajko. The scholarship is available for holders of a Ph.D. degree in the fields of astrophysics, astronomy or physics (or candidates that expect to obtain the degree before the start of their position). Knowledge of numerical methods, high-energy astrophysics or plasma physics will be preferred.


Candidates should submit an application including CV, list of publications, statement of research interests and future plans (2 pages), a copy of the Ph.D. diploma, one recommendation letter, and the DGPD declaration
