Globular Cluster M12

One of the globular clusters observed by astronomers from the Copernicus Astronomical Center in Warsaw: Janusz Kałużny, Arkadiusz Olech and Wojciech Pych is M12 in Ophiuchus constellation. Clusters are observed and studied in frame of the CASE (Cluster AgeS Experiment) program.

 

The size of M12 is approx. 80 light years and the cluster is located less then 16 thousand ly.
