Marzena Śniegowska is a Ph.D. candidate at the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center (CAMK) in Warsaw.

The supervisors of her dissertation are Prof. Michał Chodorowski of CAMK PAN and Prof. Bożena Czerny of CFT (Center for Theoretical Physics) PAN.

The topic of her doctoral dissertation concerns time-dependent phenomena in active galactic nuclei. These sources are massive, with a wide range of physical properties, and available observations make it possible to study their properties across the electromagnetic spectrum. Her work presents results on a variety of time scales - from hours/days to the chemical evolution of a galaxy over millions of years.

Marzena is currently the principal investigator of the National Science Centre PRELUDIUM BIS project (2021/41/N/ST9/02280), "CHANGE - Cataloguing of cHANging look active Galactic nuclEi".

  • accretion processes and accretion disks.
