Sumanta Kumar Sahoo is a Ph.D. candidate at the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center (CAMK) in Warsaw.
His dissertation topic is "Asteroseismology of pulsating hot subdwarf B (sdBV) stars using TESS and Gaia space data." The supervisor of his doctoral thesis is Prof. Andrzej Baran (Astronomical Observatory of the University of Warsaw).
Sumanta is involved in two grants funded by the National Science Center in Poland, SONATA BIS project "Demystifying hot subdwarf B stars using Kepler, TESS and GAIA space data" (2017/26/E/ST9/00703), and OPUS project "The evolution and instability strip of hot subdwarfs in two old open clusters" (2017/25/B/ST9/02218). Both grants are directed by Prof. Baran.
